As part of the celebrations of World AIDS Day (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), a scientific lecture was delivered in the conference hall of Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital in the holy city of Karbala, attended by a group of doctors, nurses, and those interested in public health.
The lecture was given by community health specialist Mr. Adel Al-Jubouri, who touched on the current challenges facing patients with acquired immunodeficiency (AIDS), the most important symptoms and complications of this disease, the causes of transmission of the infection, and the most important possible ways to avoid it.
Al-Jubouri explained that AIDS is a disease that affects the immune system, causing it to weaken, making the body more susceptible to other diseases.
The conclusion of the lecture included distributing awareness brochures about AIDS, which included information about the disease and ways to prevent it.
