A specialized medical team at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital announced that a “free” surgery was performed to remove a tumor inside the spinal cord of a 50-year-old woman.
Neurosurgeon and vertebrae specialist at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, Dr. Hazem Mojed, confirmed the success of the operation to remove a tumor inside the spinal cord in the first to third thoracic vertebrae for a 50-year-old woman.
Dr. Mojed said that
“The patient was suffering from an inability to walk, difficulty moving her lower limbs, and discomfort when defecating and urinating.”
He adds:
“A specialized medical team headed by Dr. Amjad Al-Defafi performed the surgery successfully, and the entire tumor was removed.”
He confirmed that
“The patient felt completely better after the surgery, and her movement, bowel and bladder functions returned to normal.”
