His condition was marked by multiple bronchopleural fistulas opening into the chest cavity, accumulation of fluids, chronic infections, adhesion of the cyst to the bronchial tree, and severe pulmonary fibrosis, prompting several medical centers to refuse his admission due to the high-risk nature of the case.       <\/p>\n\n<p>Upon arrival at the consultative clinics of Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, the patient underwent a thorough medical evaluation by Dr. Ihsan Al-Amiri, who confirmed that the case was among the most complex in thoracic surgery, stating:<br\/>\u201cThe greatest challenge was preserving the lung and preventing its removal, despite the severity of fibrosis and the presence of multiple air fistulas.\u201d    <\/p>\n\n<p>Dr. Al-Amiri added that the surgical decision was made after a meticulous review of all medical details, explaining:<br\/>\u201cOur primary goal was to save the lung and preserve its functional capacity, which required a highly precise surgical intervention and full coordination among the medical team.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n<p>The surgery, which lasted more than three hours of meticulous work, involved complete lung decortication, removal of severe fibrotic tissue, excision of the remnants of the ruptured hydatid cyst, and precise closure of multiple air fistulas, all performed without resecting any part of the lung, while fully preserving the patient\u2019s respiratory function.<br\/>      <\/p>\n\n<p>After five days of hospitalization and intensive medical follow-up, the patient was discharged in a stable condition, with a marked improvement in breathing capacity\u2014an outcome that clearly reflected the success of the operation and the level of medical effort involved.<br\/>   <\/p>\n\n<p>This achievement once again underscores the advanced capabilities and high level of expertise of the medical staff at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, and their ability to manage the most complex and high-risk surgical cases, transforming them into medical success stories that embody the mission of humanitarian medicine and stand as a source of pride in the hospital\u2019s journey.<br\/>   <\/p>\n\n<figure
