Our experts solve health problem of a 60-year-old patient using advanced techniques"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A specialized medical team succeeded in alleviating the suffering of a sixty-year-old woman who was complaining of what is known as \u201cuterine prolapse,\u201d in a surgery that faced many challenges due to her chronic diseases.<br\/>However, the professional medical staff and highly advanced techniques at Imam al-Hujjah Hospital contributed to overcoming all challenges and the surgery was crowned with success.<br\/>General surgeon Dr. Laith Al-Sharifi explains: \u201cThe patient was suffering from a prolapsed uterus and it was successfully removed laparoscopically thanks to the medical staff at the hospital. They are highly-skilled and work with great professionalism.\u201d<br\/>He also praised the female medical team in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of our hospital, supervised by specialist Dr. Taktum Sakhr, who contributed to the success of this operation.\u201d<br\/>He pointed out, &#8220;The challenge we faced during the surgery was the difficulty of anesthetizing the patient because she was suffering from chronic diseases, including diabetes, high blood pressure, and other heart problems.&#8221;<br\/>Difficulties facing anesthesia:<br\/>In this context, Anesthesiologist Dr. Zaid al-Moussawi confirmed that all the obstacles facing the anesthesia process had been overcome.<br\/>He continues: \u201cThe patient complained of high blood pressure and changes in her blood tests, which were irregular.\u201d<br\/>He adds: \u201cWe gave the patient general anesthesia after performing all the required tests. But during the surgery, the patient\u2019s blood pressure began to change and became sharply higher.\u201d<br\/>The anesthesiologist continues: &#8220;We tried to control it and the blood pressure was reduced to normal.&#8221;<br\/>Dr. Al-Moussawi pointed out another problem during the surgery, but it was quickly solved. He adds: \u201cDuring the surgery, the patient suffered from bleeding, but she was quickly compensated. She was given intravenous fluids to keep her blood pressure regular.\u201d<br\/>He adds: &#8220;Also, the patient&#8217;s heartbeat was irregular.
