When blood pressure rises, the heart has to work harder to pump blood throughout the body.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong> Warning!<\/strong><br>High blood pressure can cause severe health damage, leading to serious problems such as heart attacks, strokes, and kidney failure.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What do blood pressure measurement results mean?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Normal blood pressure:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Less than 120\/80 mmHg.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pre-Hypertension stage:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>120-140\/80-90 mmHg.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This stage serves as a warning that the individual may be at risk of developing high blood pressure in the future and needs to take steps to control their blood pressure before it worsens. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hypertension (Stage 1):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>140-160\/90-100 mmHg.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At this stage, doctors may recommend lifestyle changes and possibly medication to control blood pressure. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hypertension (Stage 2):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>160\/100 mmHg or higher.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This stage typically requires more aggressive medical treatment and possibly more than one medication to control blood pressure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hypertensive crisis:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Higher than 180\/120 mmHg.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This condition requires urgent medical treatment as it can be life-threatening.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital offers various laboratory tests to monitor blood pressure levels.
